Policies and Transactions Overview

In SLIP, policies and transactions are searchable from the Policy Search screen. You can access the Policy Search screen by clicking the Policies tab on the main menu bar.

A policy is like a container, a logical grouping that houses transactions for a single Broker Location. Policies are created automatically when the first transaction for a new, unique Policy Number is entered for a Broker Location. Once a policy exists, any new transaction created under that Broker Location using an existing Policy Number is automatically added to the policy in SLIP.
